THANK YOU for considering making a contribution to my campaign. Here is the information you need to know prior to making a donation.
Individual residents of Ontario can donate to this campaign. There is a $1,200 limit that applies to contributions from individuals. The maximum total amount that a contributor can give to candidates in the same jurisdiction (for example, running for the same council or the same school board) is $5,000.
A contribution receipt must be issued for every contribution received. Contributions over $25 must be made by cheque, money order or a method of payment that clearly shows where the funds came from.
A list of the names and full addresses of every contributor who gives more than
$100 total to a campaign must be reported in the campaign financial statement. This list becomes part of the public record.
Donations are NOT tax deductible. A receipt will be issued solely as an acknowledgement of the donation and cannot be claimed on personal income taxes.
